Hi Martin - Hearty congratulations and ā€œcool beansā€ on the Forbes - Give it a great big honk for me willya? That will go a long way towards making Christmas a happy day I’m thinking… I’m still checking the darn mail daily looking for mine. All I got was this lousy lump of coal… ; ) Hopefully mine’s not too far down the pike. I was hoping for this month but…

I’ve been reading about Rob’s flutes. How is the fit/finish on yours? A quick review maybe?

The Forbes I got was one of the newer ones with the knotwork embossed on the head. I have been enjoying it like no other, and have sold off it’s predecessors. The material has an interesting pattern to it and the joints fit like precision machinery. Rob was out of cork grease the day mine shipped, and he applied a bit of vaseline to the o-ring seals. It fits so nice, that’s all I use now.

… I do plan to purchase a keyed flute in the future as funds allow; but I don’t foresee replacing my Forbes with anything else. It’s honkin’ good fun to play and provides the sounds I like! Search the forum - you’ll find quite a few comments from others about this flute.

 Happy New Year!

whoo-hoo! Got an email from Rob last night that mine is in the mail! Now if our civil servants will only be so kind…
