Is this a scam site?

I am a total newbie to whistles and may be quite naive in this inquiry, so please be kind. Does anyone have experience with the company/site Violintide? I was poking around this week and found a used, tweaked Freeman Original Clarke in D (approx $28) which seemed reasonably priced and a used C/D O’Riordan set, said to have been owned by Colin Goldie approx ($145). I was skeptical about this set. My question: I’ve never heard of Violintide. Does this seem legit? The internet says this is a US based company but when I attempt to use my credit card I get sent to a Chinese language site for card confirmation called WorldPayX. What do you think? I’d like these but I don’t want to get scammed. Help appreciated!

Definitely a scam site.

Too good to be true

Dang…thought so. I appreciate you taking your time to respond. I had fingers crossed that this was ok, but when the WorldpayX page popped up, my gut said “nope”.

They also have WAY too many products. Imagine having eight O’Riordan sets for sale at the same time!

This is also not something real e-commerce businesses do: "FLASH SALE: EVERYTHING HALF PRICE! LIMITED TIME ONLY!"

Good intuition! I’m sure the scam has worked on a lot of others  Looks like they’re targeting all sorts of musicians, not just us folk folk.

Yes. That was another red flag. How many sets can one site have for sale?

I agree. I am a trusting individual and just can’t fathom how people spend their time trying to rip people off. Oh I understand, of course, but how do they sleep at night?

Ah well, no new whistles today! Thanks folk friend!
