A strange phenomenon yawning isâŚpeople usually say âlack of oxygenâ thatâs bollocks anyhow if you ask me, we do not yawn because of lack of O2, (that baby there is proving itâŚ), try out the following, when you need to yawn, just inhale very deaply instead. you will find it does not give you teh satisfaction a yawn gives you. but, I just donât know exactly why we do yawnâŚ

As any pregnant woman can tell you. Ever played that game where you push at the babyâs foot and she pushes back? They can be quite determined little buggers even before theyâve seen the light of day.
Thanks for link. I am sending it out to others. Amazing doesnât even seem like enough of a word to describe them. What is weird is how the photos make it look so cavernous in thereâŚWhen I look at a pregnant woman, I canât imagine there being so much space though I know the fetus is smallâŚ
I went looking for all sorts of pictures like that when I was pregnant, because I wanted to see what Joey might look like in her development, and I found some pretty amazing ones.
Joey never played that foot game with me, but she did love to dance in the bathtub, which she still does.
Howâd she know she was in the bathtub?
Mine had hiccups a lot.
I donât know how she knew.
Joey also hiccupped a lot in the womb and she does now, too.
These images should be seen by every preadolescent youth⌠pregnancy isnât just an inconvenience, it is a life. Iâm pro choice, not to change the focus of this thread, but I am also very much in favor of that choice being made before it involves a real live baby person.
Yes, i was alive before you were born.
I had a sonogram when Nate was about 12 weeks gestation. When the âwandâ picked him up, he was sucking his thumb. He ârolledâ and his arms and legs shot out straight, then he curled back up and sucked his thumb again. When he was born, he had blisters around the base of his right thumb, and around his mouth - and started sucking his thumb almost from the moment of birth.
He also had hiccups (a lot), played xylophone on my ribcage with his feet, and had âstartle reflexâ anytime the printer on our big computer at work started out.

My first pregnancy was the greatest time in my life. I was as sick as a drunken sailor and almost vomitted my lungs out, several times a day for almost 2 months. But it was a unique feeling to know that someone lived inside of me. Sorry boys, youâll never understand that.
As a woman, Iâm not sure if I want that experience.
And the two month vomit thing, Iâm sure there are enough college age guys who can claim to have been there, done that.
Iâm suddenly a little saddened to be a sober, single woman. 
not everybody gets the barfy thing. I was, happily, spared.

What I learned is that we yawn to release tension and ease physical pain. I agree, itâs not about being bored or sleepy.
Regarding life before birthâŚIâve always loved the Wordsworth line, from Intimations of Immortality:
