Is the Monaghan Jig four parts and are there others like it?

“Across the Black Water” and “Muireann’s” are two cracking relatively new 4 parters. There are countless Scottish 4 or more part jigs of course.

I don’t think I know the first of those. Muireann’s is a great tune, though. Goes nicely into something I was told was called “Michelle O’Sullivan’s”, a two-parter, but genuinely unusual for all that.

Actually I got that wrong Ben, picked it up from Kevin Burkes playing but the tune I meant was “The Last Train to Loughrea” - which is the first one here… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muS2GEeJ3x4

The second tune is “Across the Black Water”, nice tune but two parts.
