Mary Bergin and Eamon Togertajob ( Corofin Co Clare )

Anybody got any idea as to what this is supposed to mean?

Slan,
D.

Nope…

What’s a Nancyboy? Is it like a Girlieman? Billygirl? Sallydude? Jimmychick?

Nancyboy is a crude slang term for a homosexual male.

Slan,
D.

I’m thinking mr. toasty has issues…

I do not think that the C&F boards are the place for him to deal with them.

It can mean homosexual male, but can also simply mean effeminate. Always intended as a term of derision, it’s usually used to try and stir up a fight.

I resemble that remark

I wonder why I hadn’t heard that phrase before.

not again… :boggle:

It means “currently unemployed” (sound it out).

It means “currently unemployed” (sound it out) sez Brassblower.

Brass,
I managed to figure that bit out by myself it was the overall point that I have a problem with i.e. what is the point of this thread.

Slan,
D.

If i got it right, “toasty” is trying to communicate to us that he is a rude teenager.

Hi, folks! There’s a not dissimilar thread over in the Trad Forum.

Actually, there was a thread similar to this on one of the forums the other morning early, to which I responded. When I got home that evening the thread had magically disappeared.

It would seem that “toasty” is insisting that we all get started on the topic of nancyboys, which he/she either finds amusing, or repulsive, whatever.

How boring.

I’m off to practice.

Don’t get your panties in a bunch, toasty.

Mary

Ah – and how many threads manage to stay “on topic” even when we know the point?

~Judy

Isn’t this a Monty Python song? “I’m a nancyboy and I’m OK…”
Bloomfield?
