So the “public house” connected to the university I attend is having a huge irish themed party the 9th of febuary. The fellow in charge of the music asked me if I could suggest some good bands that play lively irish music of all sorts. I know quite a few, but I was thinking you guys probably had some good suggestions??
You’re asking about recorded music, not live bands?
Yes, recorded music. Sorry, I was a bit unclear there.
Lunasa, (obviously) The Chieftains, Flying Cows of Ventry…
I second Lunasa along with Dervish and Solas (the older stuff). I guess you could add in Flook and Eileen Ivers if they are looking into some really fast stuff. But those are some really energetic, lively bands.
Altan
PMSL
Saw that elsewhere recently.
That’s great. Nice looking horse, too!
