I’m delighted to see that John Carty has been awarded the title of ‘Irish Musician of the Year’, by TG4 (Ireland’s national language Broadcaster). Shanna Quay takes pride in the fact the not only has the 2003 ‘Musician of the Year’ performed for us in the last few months, but also the 2002 ‘Young Musician’ (Liam O’Conner), has played here, recently.
John Carty once advised me to ‘aim high’, when selecting musicians to perform in concert at Shanna Quay. Well John, you are living proof that I succeeded! Many congratulations.
