I will be visiting Yale U for a few days for a conference this week (Monday through Thursday). Any recommendations on sessions, concerts, pubs?
I thought about busking but it might be a little cold for that.
The Playwright in Hamden had a Tuesday night session which was pretty small and comfy. Its changed leadership and may not be quite as much fun. I can’t tell.
Anna Liffey’s in New Haven usually has some music at least one, possibly two days a week. Call them and they’ll be able to tell you exactly when. It may not be a public session but it may. I’ve been there on Sundays once or twice.
There is also something in East Haven…a CCE group I believe. I’ll get info on that as I can.
For a 45 minute drive on Wednesdays, there is City Steam in Hartford, and a CCE session at one of the local Irish clubs on Sundays.
