From the Irish Independent’s website.
I read somewhere that in the days before wifi, Ted Furey and John Keenan used to take the train from Dublin to various destinations around Ireland and pipe (busk?) for their fellow passengers.
It’s Fiachra Meek from DkIT…he was here in Brazil last year with other students and Daithi Kearney, banjo player and teacher at the institute…
When I lived in Ireland in the mid 70’s, everyone took the bus and you could see and hear all sorts of things on a given day. The rural routes were some of the most fun/entertaining.
