Hi,
I’m new to this forum, that’s why I think it’s polite to introduce myself.
My name is Katrien, I’m 23 and from Belgium.
I have played the flute for several years and recently bought a thin whistle. You will have to excuse my English but I couldn’t find a page in Dutch about this subject.
I have a lot to learn, that’s why I joined this forum. Hopefully I’ll be able to play the flageolet in not such a long time.
grtz!
Welcome! There’s a lot of good information here, as well as knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic people. I wish this site had been around when I started playing the tin whistle (heck, I wish the INTERNET had been around when I started playing the tin whistle!).
For all its simplicity, it’s a bequiling and addictive little instrument. I’m sure you’ll be hooked in no time!

Welcome, Katrien! There is a lot of sharing of information here. We all love whistles!

Welcome!

I have been to Brussels! I remember most that they sold delicious waffles in the subway and the subway didn’t even have a bad odor…it smelled like a bakery!
I also greatly enjoyed the mussles! They cooked them in a black pot and they were incredibly delicious.
MMmmm!

Welcome! I remember dogs everywhere…even in the restuarants. I always wondered why we couldn’t do that here.
I’m sure you will enjoy this board. You can learn just about everything, maybe more than you wish to know.
