Interesting Low WhistleFault and Easy Fix

I just aquired my first Low D recently and was quite impressed with it. Imagine my dissapointment however when I found it would sometimes not change up from D to E. I really thought I had a dud and was trying blowing harder, cleaning various fluids (mostly beer breath!) from the head, everything. I really felt like an idiot when I discovered the problem but at least it was easy to fix!
Anybody any good guises but remember also that I am an idiot!

Were you covering the bottom hole with your pinkie finger, but continuing to lift your third finger (which wouldn’t have been covering anything)?

I’ve seen people playing low whistles by covering the bottom hole with their pinky fingers, but I found that it only took me about ten minutes to get used to the “piper’s grip” and be comfortable.

DAMN!! I thought I’d get a few people with that one, Well done.
I can’t quite stretch yet and use some sort of mangled pipers grip but with the pinky. It’s really somthing else to see.
