I'm back!!!! But where am I?

It’s been a few months (I think) since my last post, let alone checking the board).

This summer flew by:

  • Got new job out-of-state
    Packed and moved stuff into storage
    Moved to temporary apartment
    Started new job
    Sought and found new house (waiting to close)

But here’s the kicker: I moved to Littleton, NH (from Fairfield, CT) and I MISS MY SESSIONS!

Anyone know what’s going on in this area?! I REALLY miss playing with others (it’s not the same playing to a CD or by oneself).

Congrats on a successful relocation. Our family is going through the same thing right now. Got our first offer on our house yesterday.

Directions: Concord, New Hampshire is conveniently located at the junction of interstate highways 93 and 89, which makes it easily accessible from Northeast Massachusetts and Southwest Maine (both within a one hour drive for you “area” musicians). On interstate highway 93 in Concord, NH take the exit for Loudon Road. Then, proceed West a few hundred feet to North Main street. Turn left (South) onto North Main street and see “The Barley House” on your left (the East side of the Street) just one hundred feet down or so. The pub/restaurant is almost directly across from the New Hampshire state capitol building.

Notes: Although “Intermediate” is listed as the skill level, we welcome all levels of musicians at this seissiun, and we regularly have at least one or two high-level players and a couple beginners attend. Our focus is fun and learning. We end the seissiun at 10:00 PM unless a large group is still wanting to play beyond that time. Within reasonable limits, the pub provides some gratuity of drink/food to all musicians showing to play/sing. The seissiun is mostly tunes, but we have some song (and jokes of course!) mixed in from English, Irish Gaelic, and Scots Gaelic. The format is very informal–our content is mostly Irish with other Celtic genres mixed in plus a wee bit of Scandanavian an Old Time American tunes.

The Saturday session might be worth a look see, perhaps someone there can give you a lead on something in Montiplier.

Sorry I couldn’t find any leads on something closer.
