I'm admitting it

I can’t wait for autumn to finally start. It’s been a far too humid summer here in New York.

I’m sure that will be the last time I ever say such a thing, so mark it on your calendars or whatever :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah, my favorite season… Having grown up in Central NY, anything to kiss the humidity goodbye was welcome.

I’m way up in the North Country, so humidity isn’t nearly as common here. We usually get some in August, but almost never in September. It feels like we’re in for a HUGE storm, to be honest.

I actually like autumn, but the fact that it’s the precursor to the snow and the weeks of 30 below is what makes me dread it. And yes, I do mean weeks of 30 below. When it hits that, it usually stays that way for quite some time before we have a heat wave and it goes above zero again :stuck_out_tongue:

I can barely wait to plant my tulips and blueberry plant…it has to be cold enough and the way it looks it’s not going to be cold enough until NOVEMBER. sigh.

I’m actually going to have to start thinking about doing all of that soon, or else the ground will be frozen and it will be too late. According to predictions, we may already have a pretty good covering of snow by November here, and I sure as heck am NOT going to try to plant mine then!

Speaking of which, do you plant trees in the autumn or the spring? Anyone know?

well, of course ya do!

it’s the best season in yer parts, innit?
would you believe that I have to think about how to talk like that right now?

Why?? Isn’t it your normal mode of speaking?

And yes, it’s supposed to be the best season here. But I much prefer Spring  I like the smell of mud.

Yep.

I think it depends on the tree and stuff. I’m planting my blueberry bush (which is treated as a fruit tree) in the fall…as soon as it gets here, that is. :stuck_out_tongue:

ah, mud…the precursor to hay fever!

I, perennially, can’t wait for November 30 to roll around. Sigh.

There be a nice breeze off the end o’ me yardarm. Har-har-har!

Arrr!

Ah, Fall in L.A.
When its less hot

Oh, I thought you had another bundle of joy coming.

Fall is the most depressing season.

Rubbish!
what’s not to love  about autumn???

unless of course youve got mold allergies, or something like that. :sniffle:

Weird I think that about winter. Fall, on the other hand, is great! I get to
drive around with my windows down, and it feels great. ITM puts me in
a Fall mood for some reason, so I really listen to a lot more of it during
that season, so that’s cool. I get to snuggle up to my wife on cool nights
(instead of getting that “Move over, it’s too hot” thing – see “Kiss Me Kate”
for the definitive work on that front).

Why? Are you sending me some chocolate?
