You might want to make it just a general workshop for uilleann pipers rather than limiting it to intermediates.

Just had a flash of inspiration. Would Up-state New Yorkers be interested in a floating tionol between New York State and the Province of Ontario? Like that floating tionol on the Thames, except on the Toronto - Rochester ferry on Lake Ontario? Obviously, I’d have to check with the ferry co.
If the Rochester ferry is still in business by whenever this tionol would be, I’d be very interested.
Glens Falls would be a possibility though about 250 miles away. I am just outside of Rochester.

Speaking as an upstate NY piper, I’d say there are probably enough of us now to have some sort of gathering alternating with Toronto, especially if you widen the circle a bit to include lower Vermont and western Massachusetts. We might also think about alternating with Montreal, for that matter, which is closer than Toronto even by ferry (4 hours as opposed to 5 with the ferry). It’s the Golden Triangle: Montreal, Toronto, Albany!
Or is that the Bermuda Triangle? Or the Auld Triangle?
