email me privately. I have one for sale for $65 including postage and insurance. I am the second owner. It is in standard shape, and plays just like Sindt should.

Chris got it. Consider it sold.
Debra
Woo hooo!!! Yee haa!
I’ve sent you a private message with my e-mail address so we can figure out payment and delivery.
Best,
Chris
Lucky Chris. Oh well, only about six months to wait before I get mine. Sigh.
Darn, that’ll teach me.. I only stepped away from the computer for a minute.
Congrats Chris, happy whistling!!

Whoo hoo!!!
Thanks for being nice about it folks. I got lucky. I’m usually on the computer during the day but not at night (I’m generally sick of the computer by that time). I just happened to do an evening check and got super lucky!
You should have seen me trying to post in the forum and instant message at the same time. I was frantic ![]()
Chris
I know this can be an awkward question to answer, but Debra, why are you selling? email or pm me if you prefer! And of course I will infer that no answer is also an answer…
Cheers,
Lisa
She’s selling it because the holes are drilled sloping to the left, the fipple is cut at an angle, the holes are rough and the cross fingered C natural plays in tune…
Just joking ![]()
I can’t wait to decorate this with an ivy-leaf pattern…

tee hee!
Lisa, it’s just that C natural thing. I choose not to learn how to half hole. Or should I say my fingers refuse to consider it? Anyway, the Sindt sounds wonderful, but I got a Burke instead. [edited because that sounds like I’m slamming Burkes, which I’m not. I love my Burke.]
Happy Holidays, everyone.

Thanks Deborah -
The Burke is a great whistle as well. I Paypalled you the money this morning.
Best,
Chris

More will have to be said on this subject, hopefully this weekend. ![]()
That was quick, Chris. Thanks. My husband says he got the money, so I’ll mail the whistle–priority mail–today.
Debra
Yeah, I agree that it’s quite lame that John hasn’t fixed the C natural on his D whistles. I, and the rest of whistledom, really wishes he would. However, I find that I don’t really notice it when I’m playing fast tunes, unless the C natural is one of the key notes, in which case it can be abit annoying. On slow airs I half-hole it and I’m getting better at half-holing it on dance tunes. Still, none of his other whistles have this problem and I really don’t understand why he doesn’t just fix it.
Best,
Chris
Awesome Debra -
Thank you!
Chris

A little sandpapering to a brass Feadóg shaft and a piece of teflon tape remedies the C natural problem very well.
If you’re careful with your sanding, you can’t even tell the shaft has been switched by outward appearance… but I too wish John would fix it himself.
Raindog… very interesting. I’ll have to try that.
You should have waited until Debra sent me the whistle to tell us this ![]()
