Hello Whistle community,
I am a new memeber from Germany and I need your help.
I totally fell in love with the Lochlan low D whistle made by Greg Russell.
My problem is, that I could not get in contact with him to order one.
I tried the E-Mail adresses of his webpage and his youtube page - but got no reply yet.
Does anyone know on how to get in contact with him - and if he is still making whistles.
Please excuse if my english is not that perfect.
How long have you been waiting for a reply? I have read lots of threads here about this subject. I’ve noticed that the general consensus is that whistle makers are either:
Busy making whistles.
Working at their day job.
Taking care of their families.
Playing whistles themselves.
They don’t seem to immediately respond to e mails very often.
I’ve never contacted a whistle maker myself.
In the meantime, you’ll run across other people from Germany here. And we wouldn’t mind hearing what you plan on doing with that low whistle.
When I was a kid, I visited Munich the year after the Olympics. What a nice place. I wouldn’t mind having a German dinner again sometime.
Welcome! It seems this situation comes up every so often with Lochlan whistles. You might want to do a search of the Whistle board and read through similar posts. Click on “search” at the upper right of this screen and use “Lochlan” as your keyword. Select “The Chiff and Fipple Whistle Forum” as your search domain. You’ll get a few queries just like your own followed by explanations coming from Greg, his wife or a friend. The maker appears to work away from home for long periods.
