Okay dear whistlers. The time has come for me to sell off a few whistles. I’ve realised now that I’m not really a collector of whistles any more, I just play them, and I tend to always play the ones I like most (and will not be selling). Most of the whistles I sell now haven’t seen decent playing time for a year or so. Most of them are cheapies, some are tweaked, some are in original condition. All are mint condition if not otherwise specified. I can (and would prefer to) sell everything as a bulk for a decent offer, but I will sell separately if you see something you’re particularly interested in. Offers via PM. Here we go:
2 Oak whistles, C and (D - sold). Shows signs of beeing played (darkened by the holes). Comes in original plastic cases.
Waltons Aluminium: Little Black D and Guinnes D (in paper case).
Waltons D (Don’t know if this is the one they call Mellow D) it’s brass. Slightly tarnished and covered in the green sticky stuff these whistles often develop. I expect it will wash off easily with the right solution.
Generation: Nickle Bb, C and Eb. (Brass D - sold), F and G. Some of them have been slightly tweaked, and the ones that has been are better than the standard, off the shelf Gen, but they are not my best tweaks, I will keep those. Some of them looks well played.
Doolin 2pc. Related to the Clare 2pc. Green mouthpiece and brass body. The mouthpiece has cracked slightly but I don’t think it leaks, can be fixed with tape.
Susato Dublin A, wide bore. I hate this whistle as I hate Susatos in general and I don’t recomend it to anyone. A few others seem to love them however. If you’re a newbie and don’t know why, do a search. Comes in leather bag.
Shaw D. Nice little whistle. High air demands and very breathy. Very much like a fine, hand-made version of a Clarke original. Unpainted, metal look.
Clarke: 2 Sweetones D and C (black and Blue colour), 2 originals D and C. The gold paint has been removed from the C so now it has the plain black look. Both originals in the paper cases they come with from the store.
Dixon Combo. Tuneable low D whistle and flute (two heads, one body). The whistle is mellow, flutey and pretty quiet. The flute is, in my opinion (few seems to share it) a good flute for a newbie, because it’s difficult but very rewarding to play, develops your embouchure very well and prepares you for a better flute later. Don’t expect to play any sessions with this flute however. I’ve tought about keeping this one for practice, but decided to let it go with everything else I don’t play regularly.
I’ll throw in a plastic nose flute in the package for the first person who buys something.
Price idea: $6 for all whistles except Shaw $10, Susato $10 and Dixon $30. But just hit me with offers, I’ll sell cheaper if you buy many.

For anyone who’s interested, the whistles I’ll be keeping are my set of Syn whistles (my primary preformance and recording work whistles). A Chieftain low D and a few tweaked Gen’s.
