I may be selling a flute made by Alan Ginsberg.

I have a keyless “D” Rosewood flute pratten copy 4 peice I may be selling made by Alan Ginsberg.

I got the flute back in March 2004 and have not played it much as I get pains in my hand/fingers when I just get into playing a tune.

I play the uilleann pipes more and also get hand/finger pain usually top hand but it goes away.

What’s it sound like? This isn’t yet a commercial post,
so the question is legal. Will you tell us more?

You must know it can take painful years
to tune your body to a wooden flute.
It is, after all, a part of a Passion Play,
for to resurrect the spirit of the tree in the flute.

Best wishes.

As opposed to what? A metal flute?[/quote]

No, metal is not from a plant,
silver birch notwithstanding …

So I guess instead of having a really great bark, it "Howl"s instead?

Ooops, sorry. Wrong Allen Ginsburg, I guess.

Thanks, Cathy, i just didn’t have the heart to make this joke again! But it had to be done.

The scary thing is the last time i did this joke i had to explain it to a lot of people.

Thanks, G. Oh well, at least I got to think I was hysterically clever for a few minutes, anyway.

P.S. Good luck, Fergus, and sorry about your hand pain. I hate that.

sounds like your gripping the chanter too hard

Maybe they set you up to think that
because they find your explanations
funnier than your jokes …
