I made my 7 hole whistle

Success with my experiment. I used a Generation D fipple and 1/2 inch brass tubing. The whistle is the length of a C whistle with the 7th hole at the bottom and when all holes are covered you get a middle C. The rest of the holes and notes are like a D whistle. It plays Ok ( a little chiffy), and will be good for tunes in G that might have that middle C. I don’t think it will get a lot of use but it was fun to make it.

Way to go Joe, very cool!

Congratulations on your new whistle.
You might get little more ‘umpf’ (for lack of a better word) out of it by deburring the edges of the tube going into the bore.

Sharp edges in body tube couplers constrict the bore up to 70% - yes just a tiny little edge will do that.
