I just found the best tin whistle forum!

Yes, it’s this!

Hi all, I’m new here.
My name is Martin and I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I play tin whistle since… uhm.. 10 days or so!. I bought a PVC whistle in D from an argentinian luthier. It’s pretty good. Anyways, the next week possibly a friend of mine from USA will send me a Susato VSB in D too.
I started to take lessons with a teacher who is great and knows enough of irish music (she also has a band, where she plays the tin whistle, irish flute, recorder and jaws harp).

I’ll be around this forum, I liked it a lot!

Greetings to all!
Martin

P.S.: And sorry for my bad english, it isn’t my first language!

Welcome to the forums.

welcome. send pictures of carnival.

the people who speak english as their first language make a lot of mistake and the longer they write the less sense they make.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy the whistle as much as we do!

Greetings, Bothrops! It’s always good to meet new people here.

Thanks for the welcome!! It’s a pleasure to be here!

Hey, Martin–

Welcome. And don’t worry, your English is a lot better than my Spanish. We do have a lot of fun here.

And jaw harps. What a magnificent instrument. I think we should have a forum devoted to them.

Tom

Thanks WyoBadger!

Here it’s a chorus of a song played by me. The song is from a spanish band called ‘Mägo de Oz’. They mix heavy metal with a bit of celtic music.

I know it’s not too good, but I’m just starting out, and that part of the song was learnt by ear!
