I am learning the Box and have a question? I have a Cardin B/C box. But when I play any note D or lower on the top of the key board I get a vibration whcih sounds like a reed. I can not tell which reed is vibrating either a bass reed or one which from the keyboard. I can set the switches to minimize the situation, but do not get a really full sound when I do. I do not have the luxury of a box player living near to me.
If anybody has any suggestions, I would really appreciate the help.
hi robert,
i’m just a new-bee myself, a cairdin is one of the finest you can own!!
i have a saltarelle nuage in C#/D myself.
maybe that reed is cracked, anyway, you can’t replace it yourself.

Hi, A fine box you’r having.
Why not give them a ring or send them an E-mail?
there site is: www.cairdin.org/
from my own experience it could be a loose block on the C-side.
You would need to oen the box which is easy, but then again if you are not mechanically minded, it would be better to leave it in the hands of an experienced workshop.
i agree with hans, try to open your box, there could be something loose, and dust everything inside, don’t forget the reeds.
but it’s kind of a weird site you’re mentioning there hans
this is more music related http://www.cairdin.net/
