I got a new whistle! Burke composite A

I just received my new Burke composite A whistle. I played ‘‘Neil Gow’s Lament on the Death of His Second Wife’’ on it and I like the flutey tone on the low notes.

I just wanted to share the news with people who I know will understand. (You guys will all be much more thrilled than my family will be. In fact, they might not appreciate me getting something that’s going to motivate me to play whistle more . . .) I don’t have many whistles and don’t get new ones often, so this is exciting for me.

Excuse me; now I need to go play my new whistle a bit more before the other demands of life take over . . .

congrats! part of the thrill of playing whistles is playing new whistles! enjoy!

and part of the thrill of playing whistles is playing old whistles that you know well…

seems you can’t go wrong by playing . . .

I think we all know exactly how you feel! There is probably nothing like e-sharing getting a new whistle with everyone on this board. I hope that feeling never goes away for any of us.

Almost as good as getting my own new whistle is having a new whistle come into my little 400-mile music radius, so I know I’ll get to try it some day! Yippee!

Hope you have fun with it! At least the family gets the benefit of a lower range.

Jennie

Congrats.

Congrats!

I do like the composites. And the Burke composites have a voice near to wood without the maintenance.

I’m green with envy. The Burke A is first on my Christmas list.
