I fear I've become a whistle acquisition junkie

Just ordered a second original Clark in D and another in C
as well a two Sasato’s Soprano D one Small bore and another Very small bore.

:astonished: but it makes me

KAC…

Piffle! You’re still wading in the shallow end of the pool!

Some of us around here are…gurgle, snort, thrash…in some kinda deep water.

Gotta start somewhere. Just keep your nose above the water. You’ll be fine!

I know, I know, but I can feel it. Already got 5 High D whistles, a Dixon Low D, and Tipple and 2 Dixon flutes. Plus the four I just ordered.

I know, I know, just a drop in the bucket. :stuck_out_tongue:

If I lived in USA or Europe I’d have 50 high D’s and a bunch of other whistles too, don’t worry.

Now, being soooo far away and being ‘poor’ I have about a dozen of whistles.

You can buy and try at least all the “cheapies” (Walton’s, Clarke’s, Generations, Clare, Feadóg, etc.) for just some dollars. Take advantage of that

Yeah, that’s part of what I’ve done so far thinking there might be a difference, but (at least to me/my ear) the cheapies all sound about the same and I’m not pleased with the tone of them (other than the original Clarke) so I’m going to continue trying out different ones (wooden/plastic) to see how they play and begin to move into the mid-higher end whistles until I find something I can live with. Maybe I can send you a few of the left-overs.

Sure, I’d accept them happily, lol

By the way, I’m possitive you’ll be delighted with your Susatos, I’m a big fan of their whistles.
They’re much better than any cheapie, IMHO.
