I am a bit confused by this site, can anyone explain it to me? Does just merely visiting it help contribute food? Is this because their sponsers donate food per hit?
This has always been a mystery to me!
I remember looking into this years ago, when it was mentioned on another site (I actually looked into it pretty thoroughly because I thought it was a scam). If I remember correctly, for every click through, the equivalent of one cup (8 oz.) of food is donated to a charitable organization…and I think the site itself is a non-profit agency that is supported, in the main, by the advertisers at the site. I don’t think the sponsors themselves contribute the food, but they pay for advertising on the site (in the hopes that you will be drawn to their ad), and the agency that runs the site uses that money to buy the food.
