How would you describe the sound of Humphrey’s whistles? Particularly the low d.
I love his whistles, never tried the low d though. I would say his tone his sweet and pure, with little rasp or chiff.
I wish I could say I have experience with Gary’s Low D’s… I am sure they are nice. I have only tried several of his high whistles. The sound is rather pure with a slight hint of resonance (on a wide bore model). The tuning is superb and the constuction quality is almost aerospace grade in precision. Overall very nice whistles…
