To start, I am shamefully a long time lurker on this site, and still a novice with respect to playing the whistle. As with many things in life, I have procrastinated. Now, in my old age, I am determined to learn. However, I have not let this stop me from occasionally tempting to build low pvc whistles, several years ago. In the process of attempting this, and avoid the compound complications of fipple building, I purchased a Howard fipple. A year or two later, if memory serves me, I read where there was a modification that could be made to the fipple to improve it’s design. Does anyone remember this, and possibly know what that modification was?
