Found a midi site that has several midi songs on it that I like. They are quicktime and saving or downloading is not an option that I can find. I know that they are in my computer in some “temp” file because I can replay as often as I choose as long as I leave the window open.
Is there a way to locate them and save them?

Depending on your browser specs, you should be able to copy & paste it from your cache file.
Older versions of Netscape were great for that, newer versions encript the file names making it harder to find. Clear your cache first to eliminate most of the unwanted files and revisit the website with the files you need.
Can you not right-click and ‘save as’ (or ‘save target as’) on the links on the webpages themselves?
Running windows Xp … and IE … and can’t seem to find the cash files … haven’t been running Xp all that long.
Right clicking doesn’t seem to work either

Works in Netscape and Internet Explorer. Both allow me to save the files.
I run XP, and the files are stored under Documents and Settings then in a folder call Local Settings there is a folder called Temporary Internet Files. That is where I find the midi and wav files stored. Hope this helps.
Clicking that link in IE6 on Win2K pops up the ‘save’ window straight away. And right-clicking on it gives me the dialogue box to “save as” as well. I’m stumped as to why it’s not working your XP box. 
did you try the ‘file’ drop down and ‘save page as’ ? It works for me.
Midi files aren’t player-specific. You can listen to them with a billion different players besides Quicktime.
Just sayin.
I’m confused as to why the right click to save trick isn’t working for you, but you could record what comes out of your speakers. Audacity is an open source program that can do this and costs nothing. I use it to trim and equalize my mp3’s.
