How can I stamp my name on my pipe parts?
Bob
This website may be of some help.
Thanks. I was looking more for the nice stamped in patterns rather than burnt in ones whick wont show up very well on dark wood
Bob
You can buy a stamp from a number of places.
Boddy’s in Boroughbridge do them i think.

You have to have them made up and pay around a fiver a letter - great with a short name like me!!!
Then you can just hit it with a hammer but i’ve been told it’s safer and more successful to heat the stamp first. You can then just press it into the wood by hand.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

Perhaps have a chat with:
Eyre & Baxter (Stampcraft) Ltd

The one I use came from them, works fine.
For ebony, hot stamps are best. Alternative is a roller-based stamp which can be applied in the lathe, which works because the pressure is concentrated at just a small point at a time.
Not all makers stamp their work. Are you sure you are ready for this step?
My stuff isnt retail quality yet, but its improving. Besides , with my name on it theres no doubt, good or bad I made it ![]()

contact Seth Gallagher. he can direct you to the proper company that makes the roller–stamps
Just apply a little gentle persuasion (with a mallet) to the iron. ![]()
