After going to the North Texas Irish Festival and hearing several flute player, I have decided to have a go at the flute again. One player whose flute I especially liked the sound of, recommended to me a Lehart, which is what he played. I found the number for Gilles Lehart (33 296 453603) but I do not know how to call. My house phone doesn’t have long distance and I’ve tried calling Germany with a cell phone but to no avail, so France probably wouldn’t be any different. If anyone has any experience, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Normally, for a direct-dial overseas call, you would enter 011 followed by the country code (France = 33) and then the number. If you don’t have LD calling from your number (are you in prison, by any chance?) then you can dial 0 for the operator and have her place the call for you. There is about a +7 hour time difference to France, so you will have to take that into account when calling.
dude, with no long distance in your home a call to France could easily cost you over a hundred bucks, becareful. USe a 1010 prefix, you know, like 1010-345 or 1010-811, some of them have very good rates with international calls. the order would be: 1010-xxx - 011- 33(france)-number…
Go to your local currency exchange and buy a $5 or $10 international calling card. No surprise when the phone bill comes. Sam’s Club has one; Costco; Walmart.
Good grief - I can’t believe the figures I’m hearing. I can call the US, France, and most other civilised countries for about US 9c per minute ($5.20 per hour). I can’t believe that is that unusual. My phone service hangs off my (optical fibre) broadband internet connection. Maybe this is something worth checking out?
I often get my customers to indicate in an email when they are going to be home and call them if there is too much to discuss by fingers.
