For the two others who replied and anybody else who’s interested, let’s talk dates for a get together.
Labor Day weekend is bad, I have a wedding to attend, and I’m busy on Sept 18th. One weekend around Halloween will be taken up but I don’t know which one yet.
Saturdays are slightly better than Sundays for me if no one has a preference.
Let the negotions begin!

O.K. y’all, I’ve been waiting for someone to open up the discussion again.
If there are no objections, my offer still stands, we can get together in my kitchen. If that sounds good, pick a weekend (Saturday is fine) and a time, and I will have to make sure I am not on call. Since we are short staffed at the moment, I am working every other weekend. I am on for Labor day weekend. You can work your way down the calendar from there. 
If the boss takes pity, that might change, but for now, that’s the way things are going.

I got there on a story for the newspaper. Had to drive to Bay City late Monday. I would have stayed through Tuesday night for a get together, but didn’t have Net access with me and didn’t see a session listed for Houston on TheSession.Org

anyway, Dixie, you’re right…it’s HOT. Wow.
Weekends are fine for me too. When we say Saturday, do we mean Saturday afternoon?
And Dave, I’m sorry we didn’t get to meet when you were here!

The time doesn’t matter to me too much, although I am very much a morning person… That said, I would probably suggest later afternoon, early evening, and have some kind of food and drink laying around…
That way, if folks need to get stuff done earlier in the day, or if anyone wants to drive over from farther away than downtown, then there is time to organize that.
