I was looking for the music to a Shetland tune that a friend has come to love and who has slowly picked it out by ear, but would like a sound track or a gif.
Well I found this very interesting homepage in New Zealand run by Chris Hoseason dedicated to traditional Shetland music.
There are gifs to quite a few number of tunes that are simple and straight forward with no ornamentation. With streaming real audio samples on another page.
There is also a short essay on the Shetland style, its tradition and the Nordic influence on that style.
