Holiday Landscapes.

It is the big Holiday Season again, and that means (for me) another year of looking at sand and orange groves (not very seasonal IMO)…I miss the beauty of a snow clad landscape.

This thread is an attempt to solicit images other than the one shown above, anybody care to share their home landscape photos?

This is what we have to look forward to!! Happy Holidays

Very refreshing, thank you! That photo is post card material Dwinterfield.

No snow yet, but plenty of sheep. And all is grey.

Night is beginning at 5 pm.

I would appreciate to have a bit of your sunshine.

Beautiful pictures, all of you! The sheep shot especially reminded me of our visit to Ireland.

I don’t have any winter scenes, but how do I go about posting photos on the board.
Mine don’t seem to want to work.
Thanks.

My first attempt at posting an image … will it work …?
This one is of my husband and kids hiking.

edited … I must still be doing something wrong, even after following those instructions.

Excellent, Gary!!! Works great. You should write instruction manuals.

Now if I can just find a winter scene photo . . .

Oh I’ve written many… I had a long long ‘career’ as a Technical Author. Well, it probably wasn’t that long; it just felt like it!

Night usually falls around 5 pm here as well. Great shots Claudine.

Aren’t some of those sheep actually goats?!?

I know there’s a difference, because nobody’s ever told me to stop acting the sheep.

I love snow

These pictures had already been posted 2 years ago. However, when I tried to make a link to that earlier post, I saw that all the old pics were gone. So here they are again (with my excuses to those who are bored to see the same old stuff again).

Breathtaking images, wow!

…reminds me of Minnesota…sniff. :sniffle:

Christmas cheer in the south. Waiting for Santa.
"Hello, Santa? I wont me a new scope for my deer rifle. Momma stepped on my old one an’ ruint it. "

   …that is sooooooo like my part of the world. It is a good thing I am nolonger 15 and impressionable.

I know what you mean about having the blues in those southern climes at this time of year…
It probably depends on what you grew up with, but I hated being stuck in warm temperatures at Christmas time. It was depressing. “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas” took on a whole different meaning. Or it actually had some meaning.
I have some great local pictures but no website to post them on so I have to plagerize someone else’s… It’s still local, though.

From CNN.com: Minnesota is a bit short on snow so far this year, so they’ve had to resort to having snowmobile races on alfalfa instead!

More snow …
