Bienvenidos, welcome!

What is your affiliation with Clover Flutes?

Only play his instruments and help him with those videos, because the maker hasen’t got some good sound samples

Hola and Welcome!

Would I be correct in guessing that you are a Brian Finnegan fan?

Never heard of clover flutes, a quick google shows some nice looking whistles and flutes thou…How do they play Santiago?

Nuno

Yes, you are correct! i’m a big fan!

The whistles plays really well, the afination and volume are really good. They need some extra pression in the second octave, but it wasn’t problem for me…
Tomorrow i’ll get an Bb and A set, one mouthpiece two bodies. Hope they play like the high D you saw in the videos.

I’m very very happy with my new Bb whistle, made by clover flutes, here is a video of me playing a little! hope you like it!

Hello and welcome. Would you speak a little more about the Clover Flutes whistles? Thank you.

Hi ytliek! well, i know the maker and play his instruments. The whistles plays really good in terms of affination, intonation, volume. The maker is have good skills, the whistles looks beatufull.
Ask me and i’ll try to answer your questions!!

I haven’t ever heard of Clover Flutes/Whistles so any information is helpful. Some photos would be appreciated. See some of the whistle reviews for the types of images that would be helpful, fipple, beak, window, tone holes, bell end, brand name, etc., images that show the construction. The videos are helpful with hearing the whistle.

And my initial question: Are the whistles already in stock or are the whistles made when ordered?

The whistles are hand made in aluminum.
In his facebook you can see a lot of pictures of his whistles and contact him for further information!
Here you have the link to see the pictures.

Hi and welcome! Tasty playing there man.

Those whistles look pretty cool. I wonder if anyone else here has tried them? nice light and full sound going off your videos. I’ve sent the maker a message on Facebook to enquire as to prices and stuff. I’d really like to try one.

Thanks!!!

I think the most players of this whistles are in Argentina, but i think he sent some whistles to Spain the last month i don’t know for sure.

Clover Flutes & Whistles, is he a forum member here on Chiff & Fipple?

I’d love to see him participate in threads as we all can learn from each other. Several whistle makers already participate C&F and their keen insight is always appreciated.

No he is not a member here, i’ll let him know to be a member and share his knowledge!

The maker has just replied to me. Looks like D whistles are around £110 ish, plus 30-40 for shipping. From the videos, that doesn’t seem too bad for what looks to be a lovley whistle. I wonder if the maker would consider doing a whistle tour. I’d love to try one.

I let him know of the forum to post pictures and comment about his whistles!
Hope you can try one

Hi again!
Today i visited the workshop of clover flutes to see a new model of low d whistle, it wasn’t finished, but it plays really good!!!

It would be lovely if we could see some sort of price information based on the various combinations of instruments and the various single instruments. Any currency would do. And, the lo D sounds lovely. I like it better than your MK Lo D recording…

Hi cboody! i don’t know about prices… but i do know the makers makes sets, from high to low, one mouthpiece and two bodies
D and C
Bb and A
G and F
Low D

For prices, you have to contact them via facebook - https://www.facebook.com/cloverflutes.flautaswhistles
