Hi folks, it’s nice to be back for just a bit. Been having a busy break anyway, and I don’t have a (fully reliable) internet conn right now. Anyway, just a few quick questions and things before I have to leave this computer.
In some idle moments, I decided to write a song. (shaddup!) No really, I did. Kind of a slow air-ish kind of thing. Anyway, I guess I’m going to need to make sure it isn’t something already written that was stuck in the back of my mind. What I need is, to know how to code ABC, so I can share it with you folks, so you can tell me if it is lousy or not. If someone could just throw a link up for me, I’d really appreciate it. Also, I need some guidelines for harmonizing, you know, some tips for making the chords really work. This is pretty important to me on a personal level, as I want to dedicate it to the memory of a friend who went to be with Christ after a car crash last week. I found out when I was about halfway through writing it. Pray especially for his family, he was an only child.
My other question has to do with cleaning. I have now been playing the thing more often than ever before, and it is just starting to acquire a certain smell that can only be caused by festering moisture inside the whistle. It’s not too bad, but it just seems a little unclean. Is there a remedy?

I can’t guarantee that I will be near a computer again before January 9th, so in case I don’t make it back before then, have a Happy New Year.
