Here's some Christmas music for you all

I’ve been transcribing Christmas carols for the whistle, and figured I’d share what I have so far. Pretty much all of this is traditional stuff, and it’s all been arranged for the whistle, so I figure it’s OK to have it on-line.

The only one that may be confusing is “Holly Hornpipe”…I haven’t quite got the hang of showing A and B parts (and 1st and 2nd endings) in Finale Notepad…but I think y’all can figure it out. If not, give me a holler.

I may be adding to this as the season progresses…I just wanted to get as many done as possible before we go to Mexico for Thanksgiving.

Yes, I know some of them say “recorder.” That’s because NotePad insists on an “instrument” and they didn’t have “whistle.” Fortunately, a ways through, I figured out that I could do it as for a chorus and choose “soprano.”

this is great redwolf! Thank you for taking the time to do it. I’m hoping to teach each of the kids a song to play for Christmas, and this will make it easy!

What a lot of work you’ve done. Thanks, Redwolf! This definitely adds to my collection.

Thanksgiving in Mexico? Sounds interesting.

Many thanks for this. Excellent work. These are great for a new player like me to practice reading music.

Many Thanks. Some of these I already play by ear but some of the new ones (to me at least) are a welcome addition.

Yes…it’s really exciting for me, anyway. My in-laws called a few weeks ago and said “we’re going on a Mexican Riviera cruise over Thanksgiving week…wanna come? We’re paying.” They didn’t have to twist our arms, that’s for sure! We leave next Sunday.

Thank you, Redwolf.
