help with old flute - Adler boxwood 1830’s
I have found an 1830’s Adler boxwood flute in great playing condition and good intonation. It is for sale and I wonder if any flute experts might have an idea of what it is worth in Euros? It is a really nice instrument fully keyed and well maintained. I want to buy it but don’t know the value?

The NLI gives 9 entries for Adler, from 1820 to 1950… they probably made a lot of very different flutes. I don’t know what the 1830’s ones look like…
Without a more detailed description, it is very difficult to answer your question. How many keys does it have? With or without a tuning slide? Big holes or small ones?
Maybe you could post a picture?
Though in general german flutes are not very expensive, it is more true for late 19c ones (I’d say 400 $ for a good one after 1850-60). Sometimes the oldest ones that are suitable for classical music can be very expensive (viennese style flutes for example)
