The Aussies have got it right. They have this thing called the “RBT” (Random Breath Test) - they set up a few cops on the side of any main road at night and randomly wave motorists in for breathyliser tests. I got pulled up several times, and they were always the epitomy of courtesy and politeness (and as a virtual teetotaller always sent on my way). You want to drink and drive, it’s your risk if you came up against an RBT, but they would NEVER go into a bar and test people inside.
Unfortunately it will never happen here in the UK because the civil liberties plonkers would call it “invasion of privacy” (ie at liberty to kill someone while drunk at the wheel).

No matter what country we’re in, freedom must be sought out - tyranny is like a disease, if it pops up in one country it will spread to others like a poison.
What the parliament in your country, washington and other governement seem to forget is that you can’t legislate morality. Instead they away the rights of many because of the few - It seems that the governments today are all living by the same slogan “Share the Misery” make everyone equal - equally miserable that is.
Remind people in your towns, villages, cities at election time to flush out these creeps. No matter what party they adhere to, those who take away our freedom need to be removed.
Ridiculous to require musicians to be licensed, it sounds like something from one of the Eastern European nations that still adhere to communism. I don’t even think the communists licensed musicians (I could be wrong). But it just shows how ridiculous it is.
I think Scotland and Northern Ireland are not included in this ridiculous piece of beaurocracy.

No, Scotland and N Ireland are not involved. I don’t know about N Ireland, but the Scottish parliament has the guts to chuck out this sort of thing. I wish I could say as much for the Welsh Assembly - for all the hype, I can see absolutely no effect on day to day life or things that matter. How labour manages to hang on to power and get anything done with the Plaid Cymru majority I don’t know. Well I know who I’ll be voting for in the next Assembly elections!
