Maybe I have Whoa already?! I have about forty Generations, Waltons, Oaks, Clares, and Feadogs, 3 Sindts, 1 Burke (anyone wanna buy it?), 6 Overtons, 1 Reyburn D/C set, 4 Albas, 2 cats, 3 Susatos and some other stuff I can’t think of right now!
So here is my question: Is Celine Dion the greates Celtic singer of all times, or what?

You don’t fool me. Every newbie knows that the answer to your question is what. You imposter; you’re not qualified to be a newbie. You have to earn at least $25 per anum to be a real newbie.
As for your so called ‘collection’, Hmmph. As I’ve argued repeatedly in earlier posts, my Overtons are bigger than your Overtons, My Sindts are more sindtful than your Sindts and my cats handle the tiles with an ease that your mangy prune-bummed brigade could never dream of.
I won’t be bullied into silence. If this doesn’t stop immediately I shall go back to being the AntiChrist in private and NEVER POST AGAIN until the next time my piles play up.
Don’t worry about the second octave on the whistle, you’ll get used to it in time and soon you won’t even have to think about blowing a bit harder to get it, it’ll come naturally. Just think “blowhard, blowhard” until it becomes automatic.
I notice you have some low whistles in your collection. Can I recommend that you get a copy of The Low Whistle Book and accompanying CD?

if you are talking from LURKERS and NEWBEES! you should seek then, advice from, a professional LURKER who are I i have lurked in many fora from many titles like ethnic and musical. Only a professional lurker can GIVE ADVICE in them! NEWBIES can only be in those attribute one time and not having 3788 posts. I think you are not also a newbie!

As you become familiar with this board and its members (inhabitants? denizens? inmates? prisoners?) you will soon discover that we almost never talk about whistles or music at all, and in the rare occasions that we do it’s about what whistle to buy and what whistle not to buy, but almost never, ever about music. If we do have a discussion about music its usually about how people who play traditional music are snobs and really don’t know what they’re talking about and how we’ve overcome such snobbery and mastered such brilliant songs such as "The Butterfly’, “My Heart Will Go On”, “The Kesh Jig”, “The Lonesome Boatman”, “Off to California” and “Polka Your Eyes Out”. Who says you can’t become a good musician with no hard work, no listening, no teacher, no guidance and no respect? We’re living proof that it IS possible. All you have to do is buy yourself a Chieftain low F# (a Kerry or Howard will do if you can’t find a Chieftain), listen to a lot of Enya, Yanni, Celine Dion, Engima and Deep Forest, and make sure to listen very closely to every bit of advice that Talbert bestows upon us (REMEMBER… BE POSITIVE GUYS!!! ) Then tweedle around on your new whistle for about 5 minutes a day, playing along with your favorite Yanni tracks (don’t worry if it sounds out of tune… it’s the album, not your whistle) and make sure to post in Chiff and Fipple a LOT (preferably in the Cutie Pie thread). Chiff and Fipple is really amazing in that if you read it enough, and especially if you post a lot, your whistle playing will magically become almost as good as Andrea Coor’s with almost no effort or practice involved. Believe me, it works. For proof go listen to the Clips and Snips forum.
The last thing to remember, above all, is don’t make any comments about what you think of various whistles or whistlemakers until you are a PROFESSIONAL WHISTLE PLAYERS!!! Otherwise you are UNQUALIFIED and should KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF!!!
