i just can’t figure it out want it does if you start playing a tune a few holes up or down then usual. i use this program http://www.sharewaredirect.co.uk/
in other words,if you click easiest on this program, wich i seldon prefere, the tune is transposed,is this a common practice?
i’ve the hang of it now, if it takes you to long to play by ear, and you can’t find perfection, http://www.sharewaredirect.co.uk/ is very good, very easy transposing. i always have to ad the dressing and flair because the tunes are to simple, but i love that
I have a couple of options for transposing keys, but they depend on your being able to read music.
I use ABC2Win for tune printing and ABC Tools for transposing. You can play back the tune using computer tones for ABC2Win or as a midi file with Tools.
[edited to add] I forgot to say that I also used Finale Allegro, but it’s a more laborious (but better-looking) process. I’m not sure anyone shares these files on the net.
