Several months ago (pre-March), I was looking around on the boards and ran across a post from someone who had bought their cd and linked to samples of a neo-celtic/hard rock band. Like an IDIOT I must not have bookmarked that website and I cannot remember the name of the band. All I know is that they were USA based, looked like a youngish grunge band, had an awesome sound with heavy bass/backbeat but played “traditional” celtic tunes with their rock twist. It’s not Tempest, Wolfstone or Fenians…and there were no women in the band. I am thinking there were four of them pictured. They were “heavier” than brothers 3 and it might have been monaghan’s jig as one of thier songs? HELP…I need to find this link again. They had a mean whistle…
If it helps…they took traditional irish music and added a rock background to it… (rock, not pop)
Funny - as soon as I read your post I was thinking of An Dochas. They are from Colville, just north of where I live, and they’ve performed in Spokane as part of First Night. There’re a little loud for my taste but my daughter likes them.

That is a cool sounding band. different from Molly, Murphy, or the Prodigals. Kind of like Lunasa with Electric Guitar and Drum Set the set The Otter reminds me a lot of Lunasa.
