Well, I thought I’d finished off the pile of tweaking on my desk this afternoon. Got everything mailed, and emailed one of the recipients, who had asked me to let him know when his Shaw A that I was tweaking for him was ready so he could pay me for a tweaked Generation D to send along with it.
I got an email back saying, now he’s all confused because he received his Shaw A a couple of days ago. I’m even more confused, because I can’t figure out who this second Shaw A belongs to. Would the rightful owner please step forward?
No, Glauber, you keep your grubby paws off it! I seem to recall having an A whistle… hmmmm… but something sort of “snake-ish” is an undertone of that thought… was it one of mine? Jerry, you should probably send it to me so I can play it for a few years to see if it jogs my memory…
I don’t know if the owner visits this board, but I’d say it’s better than an even bet. I figure sooner or later, s/he’ll get ahold of me somehow, but I would rather it be sooner.
I believe that the whistle is mine. If it’s a Shaw A that had a nice patina on it (it’s about 4 years old now), then it’s mine. I mailed you a Shaw A for tweaking about two or three weeks ago. I was hoping to have it by now and was going to contact you by the end of the week if I hadn’t received it. I wasn’t sure about your turn-around time, but it seemed like several weeks might be about right.
Contact me at thicks@freelon.com, and I can give you my address, if you’ve lost it.
