Help identifying a whistle please - M & Co.

My daughter bought a whistle at a garage sale and was wondering if someone might be able to identify it, where it was made, how old it is, and how much it might be worth (not that she is interested in selling, she is just interested)

The whistle has a straight shaft, appears to be old (based on the patina), and has a metal cigar label-like logo that says “M & Co.” Above the logo is written “Perfect” Below the logo is written “Tune”. It is all brass (except the area below the mouthpiece which seems to be lead). There are three groups of what look like faint etched bands, above and below the logo and at the base. It has a very nice tone and appears to a “D”.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andy.

I’ve never heard of M & Co whistles. But maybe you’d get better responce if you posted this on the whistle forum.

Other than that, I think a whistle tune is best enjoyed as it is, or maybe with a nice dram of
whisky

I just felt like it.

Do Zombies like whisky?

“below the mouthpiece which seems to be lead”

Are you’re talking about a lead plug inside the brass tube, a lead plug that comes in contact with your daughter’s mouth. I think that could be very unhealthy for her. Sounds like an interesting mystery though.

No, but whisky drinkers like the ol’ bit of necroposting once in a while.

And of course,
whisky
