Help: Firefox error reading forum

When I access the forum using this link:

http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewforum.php?f=10

Firefox version 2.0.0.13 is now giving me a cryptic error message:
You have chosen to open viewforum.php
do you want to save or open with a program
If I select a program, it brings up a text box

The same link was working fine yesterday and works fine in IE (Internet Explorer).

Help.

According to this, it may be a server problem.

As previously noted, when Firefox prompts you to save a PHP file, it’s because the server that is sending it to you is having problems and sending bad page headers.

That most often happens when the server is overloaded.

Your best bet is to save the file to someplace easy to remember (using regular save), but to save it with a .html extension, rather than .php.

That way, you can open it directly with Firefox and not have to worry about Firefox not displaying it properly.

Some images and styles may not look right on the page if you view it that way, but you should be able to see the text, at least.

I had the same problem today, but not with other message boards (coded slightly differently).

I deleted my temp files, cleared my browser private data, and all was well again.

Same here, earlier today I was getting a message saying that the C&F URL contained a .app

Then, I tried again several times, at several C&F addresses, and each time I got the same message, a message which I had never encountered here before.

Then, a while later, I tried again, and had no troubles, at all.

I’m guessing that it’s a server issue.

BTW, I’m on a Mac, with Safari.

Yes, there was a server problem on Tuesday afternoon; it was serving up php scripts instead of web pages. Dale and Rich were aware of the problem, and got it fixed. As Kevin says, now you just need to clear your browser cache, and all should be well and normal again.

Clearing the cache and saved data did the trick. Thanks.
