Maybe a little off topic, but who can I turn to if not you guys? I tried to download a Bagpipe writer program yesterday and was unable to do so. The download Box popped up, but nothing appeared and then the little box on the lower right popped up and said download complete. Of course the Program had not loaded. I tried to load it on my wife’s Computer and it loaded fine
A Month ago I had my computer cleaned up and a AVG installed, because I had had issues trying to download Malware bytes. I don’t think its a virus, but maybe it is. Is there something on my browser Security that might be blocking downloads and if so what would I need to do to correct it? ![]()
Thanks in advance for any tips!

Not sure if this will help, but assuming you are running a PC, not a MAC, instead of selecting the “Run” button for your download select the “Save” button, and save it to a subfolder in your My Documents folder (I suggest making one called “Downloads”, if you haven’t already). Then run your antivirus program to scan the downloaded file, and after it is cleared, double click on that to install the program (assuming it is a self extracting executable, as most are these days). You are probably already doing something like this, but if not it may allow you to work around the new Antivirus protocols.
or right click and select Save whatever As
you could post a link so we could poke at it ![]()
