I too hear it gets easier (anxiously awaiting that to happen!). Actually, it does, maybe a little slower for some of us (me).
Since you’re in Belfast, you might want to look up Sean Dillon, who also lives in Belfast and contributes to this forum. He’s a heck of nice guy, his son Declan is quite the whip on pipes at 11 years old no less. Check out his clips on Clips n’ Snips archive.

ps … I take it you know about the piping “do” in Cultra on 24th Sept [at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. ]
Its usually a nice day…classes and a recital…and not too far for you to travel.
I’m hoping to make it again this year
