Me and the mrs’s have been playing for about 1 year on the old tin wonders.
Totally opasite skills with here abble to hear a song twice and manage to play it back in about 5 mins most annoying she is however incapable of reading music
Me on the other hand have to have sheet music or tabs to play anything other the skye boat song. I think my brain has only set aside enough memory for one song and this was the first one I learnt.
Please reply or i will conclude that whistles are played by socially dangerous loners likley to be on the news very soon.

Is that a Water Weasel or Thin Weasel?
My wife and I are also somewhat complementary that way. We can both read music and play by ear, but with me it’s play by ear and work out the parts that are too fast to hear clearly by seeing the music. With her, it’s learn the tune by ear if she can’t find the sheet music.
It takes all types; if we were all cut from the same cloth, it would be like the Dylan song (I shall be free #10?), “Ain’t no use to talk to me/It’s just the same as talkin’ to you”.
When I played the piano (in another life) I could never play anything by ear let alone memorize much. Since playing the whistle and listening to tapes…trying to play along and also with the jams…the playing by ear has become a breeze. (still couldn’t do it on the piano)
As to your weasel…if it’s pvc…it’s a Water Weasel and if it’s wood…it’s a Thin Weasel. Welcome to our world! Gm
