Hello from a sunny Aberdeen, Scotland

Hello to all

I am new to this board and the wonderful world of whistling.

Hope everybody is having a nice day

welcome to the board, you’re in for a ride
best, tansy

Welcome! And great avatar. I still have some of those comic books stored away. Keep meaning to sell em on Ebay but too lazy.

Welcome, from a place that is wet and overcast, but as bad those in South Carolina this morning. Just a quick question, are there Northern Lights over Old Aberdeen?

Happy that you found your way here!

Thanks for the welcome and comment about my fluffy tail!

As for the northern lights, they are amazing. Such wonderful colours - takes your breath away. I have only seem them once about ten years ago near Kinloss in Morayshire, Scotland.

Have a look at some images from Norway:

Take care

Very cool photos! Welcome to the board also.

Welcome to the Board. I was in Aberdeen (“The Silver City” is it not?) some 30 years ago. It’s been altogether too long!

Aye aye to ya F.F.C. you always were a great fun guy to keep around, :sunglasses:
even if you did like to leave little presants for Freddy  :stuck_out_tongue:
Welcome

Welcome!

Hi there from down on the Eastern Scottish Borders. My Great grandfather was reputed to come from Aberdeen. Greta board here.

Welcome! They never commit us all to the same ward…and seldom the same looney bin. :boggle: :boggle: :astonished: :astonished: :stuck_out_tongue:

The fabulous furry freak brothers! Those were the days…

Fabulous Furry Freek Brothers?

Gee, they were fun when we were young and stoned!

Yeah, you know what they say: “Whistles will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no whistles.”

…or something like that.

Actually, I know a few guys who STILL look like that! :astonished:

I saw the Aurora once from Aberdeen sometime in the 70s. The type that consists of lines of light converging on a point. I’ve seen the classic shimmering curtain Aurora in Iceland.

Anyway - a hearty welcome. I lived in Aberdeen for 11 years ('71-'82), went to secondary school and university there and I’d move back there like a shot if the chance arose.

Thanks Nanohedron - just seen your reply - I may have to steal your elegant prose for my auto signature!

Is that like saying “Put it in your pipe and smoke it”??.. :boggle:

Cheers
