Hello, out there. My name is Robert. I am an avid Tinwhistler who has been playing since the summer. I found a Celtic music studio in town, the only one, I might add, and I’ve been taking lessons since. I’ve been making good progress, and I’ve been taking lessons on the net, listening to soundclips, getting sheet music. I am now trying to learn a bit from each style of song. I have a Clarke D sweetone, a waltons D brass whistle, and another waltons (I believe) D whistle made of regular materials. That one has a guiness sticker on it. I someday hope to have a low whistle. Right now, I like playing Rambling Pitchfork, Si Bheag, Si Mhor, and Tabhair dom do Lamh. I’m trying to put more ornamentation in my songs, as, until now, they have sounded flat, because I haven’t put enough flavor in my songs.
