Heidi Talbot

Anyone else heard Heidi Talbot’s “Distant Future” CD yet? I picked it up on a whim when I visited the CTL site to get their newest, and I’m very glad I did.

It isn’t traditional, but it’s a lovely recording.

I have her first solo CD and I listened to it ALL THE TIME when I was first pregnant…it was like the soundtrack of my morning sickness. So now, unfortunately, even the thought of those songs (that are wonderful, and that I loved) makes me feel nauseated. Conditioning - damn!

OBLIGATORY POST

I don’t have it yet, but I’ll probably end up with it!

Haven’t got the cd but I saw her live with CTL.
:boggle: She’s just adorable :boggle:

Really? Think so? Hmm. I think she’s an excellent singer, but her onstage personality isn’t very vivacious.

Well, to be perfectly honest I think everyone in CTL (except for Joanie Madden) are quite boring to look at on stage. But Heidi is a) a great singer b) very beautiful c) a stronger on-stage personality than most of the other ladies in the band. I’ve never seen a solo preformance with Heidi alone on the stage and I’ve only seen one CTL show so I’m not a great judge, but this was my impression after that show.

Of course, is anyone more vivacious onstage than Joanie?

I agree that she is an excellent singer. I would describe her voice as midway between Karan Casey’s and Jacqui McShee’s. Offstage, I found her to be very easy to talk to, and she’s even cuter in person than in her pictures.

I saw her here with the ladies. I agree she has a beautiful voice and is adorable. I really enjoyed the songs that she sang, but I am a sucker for any pretty girl that sings in Gaelic. I do not have any of her CDs but I should consider it.

Me too. The Gaelic certainly plays a big part. I’m crazy about good looking girls that sings well and I’m crazy about good looking girls that speak gaelic, so a great looking girl that sings beautiful songs in Gaelic… :boggle:
