Heath Ledger is dead

:frowning:

seems like drugs again. how sad.

I know.

He was one of my favorite actors. Ironically, when I read of his death I was here in the library working on a presentation for a Death and Dying class I’m taking.

He was 28 years old.

I just got home and saw headlines all over the place…

…what a shame.

Saw the full trailer for the new Batman movie the other day. I gather it’s finished. Looks like he was an actor with tremendous range.

What a shame. He was a good actor. I first noted him in “A Knight’s Tale” - excellent!

man, i really liked him. how sad.

Best not to jump the gun, Mutie. Let’s wait and see.

Sorry to read about it. Very sad.

It was the Olsen twins, in the library, with a candlestick.

Really though… very sad.

28!

Stupid kid.

What?

Yeah, Aanvil. We don’t know if it was self-inflicted - intentional or accidental - or if the pills were just…there, and it was just his time. It’s tempting to assume given what we’ve been told, but let’s not.

This is from a Reuters article on his death and life:

“Having a child changes every aspect of your life – for the better, of course. The sacrifices are large, but what you get in return is even bigger than the sacrifices you make. I feel, in a sense, ready to die because you are living on in your child,” Ledger told In Touch Weekly in November.

The whole article (three pages) can be read here: http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSN2255199420080123?pageNumber=1&virtualBrandChannel=0

We really shouldn’t jump the gun here. The presence of prescription sleep aids in the room in no way indicates that the man was abusing drugs. Heck, people have died after having a drink or two and then unthinkingly taking OTC cold medicine!

So young…that really is sad.
